Marcus qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and joined Fox Hayes in September 2007 as a partner, and as joint head of the Corporate Department.

Since qualification, Marcus has principally been involved in the acquisition and disposal of owner managed businesses although has also advised on a wider range of corporate matters such as admissions to the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange, preparation of Articles of Association and all aspects of shareholder agreements. In addition, Marcus has also advised a number of institutional and private investors in relation to investments in start up and high growth businesses.

Marcus has also been closely involved with a number of Turnaround projects advising on areas such as accelerated M&A transactions and refinancing and reorganisation of insolvent companies and groups.

Marcus is also able to provide advice on a range of commercial agreements and has been responsible for preparing overseas and local outsourcing agreements, joint ventures and a variety of supply agreements.

Overall, Marcus is keen to gain a comprehensive understanding of each client's business objectives thereby enabling him to provide cost effective, speedy and above all uncomplicated commercial advice.
