A career as a commodity trader in Rotterdam, New York and London, followed by Group MD of a chain of regional fashion outlets, gave Philip a strong commercial grounding before he requalified to become a lawyer.

Philip heads up the Commercial Department, is one of the principal rain makers for the practice, and is responsible for the day to day running of the law firm, and creating the vision and buy-in to promote Fox Hayes LLP as one of the leading law firms in Leeds. He is also founder and Chairman of the Entrepreneurs Club UK Ltd.
